Portrait of Dharmishta, Dan Smith, 2016.
Dharmishta lives a kilometer away from MSA Ethos with her husband, her in-laws, and her nephew, who she now looks after since his mother died at a young age. While Dharmishta does not have children, she is currently pregnant. Through her work at MSA Ethos, she has access to the hospital at MSA to receive prenatal care, making it feasible for her to take prenatal vitamins and other supplements to support her pregnancy. With her growing family, Dharmishta was supported to be a working woman so her income at MSA Ethos as an operator could address her family’s needs.
