I bought this for my wife and she likes it a lot. The only thing she mentioned is that the interior is snug if you carry a bigger phone and sunglasses together. She keeps the glasses in her car now and has no complaints. Build quality is excellent, with solid stitching and a neat finish on the inside. The leather handles feel good in the hand and the bag has held its shape well. It has been in regular use for months and still looks great, so I would call it a safe gift. She plans to buy another for her sister next birthday, which says plenty about how she feels.
I turned sixty this year and decided to buy one lovely thing for myself. This tote is graceful and small, and it makes me smile whenever I carry it. The woven body has a craftsmanship that you can feel with your fingertips. The handles do not dig into my shoulder, and the whole bag weighs next to nothing. It goes with everything I own, and I wear it to lunches with my friends. My daughter has asked if she can borrow it, and I told her we will see. At my age I value things that are made with patience, and this bag clearly was.
I work long shifts as a nurse and want something small for dinners out afterward. This tote is feather light, and the compact size means I am not tempted to haul half my house around. It holds my phone and a little pill case with no strain at all. The handles are comfortable and the base keeps its form on a restaurant table or chair. I appreciate that it is made by artisans in India under fair conditions. The quality shows in the small details, from clean edges to the smooth lining. After a double shift it is a pleasure to pick up, because nothing about it feels cheap or flimsy.
I love this bag and I mention it every time someone compliments it. The construction is lovely and I can tell it was made with real care. Do know that it is genuinely mini, so my larger phone fits but only just, and a full-size wallet is out of the question. I switched to a card case and now it works fine for me. The woven body is sturdy and the trim has aged gracefully over several weeks of regular use. I would pick it again knowing what I know now, and I think most people would feel the same.
